 DALLAS, Aug 25, 2004 (Updated Jul 8, 2009) / FW/ — A graduate of Paris’ Studio Berçot School, the Iran-born, Canadian-raised Afshin Feiztrained first with Thierry Mugler and John Galliano, continuing on to a position with Christian Lacroix Haute Couture.He was then appointed Director of the design studio at Gilles Rosier and subsequently hired by Natalie Gervais at Nina Ricci, where he worked as first assistant for almost three years. In 2004, feeling he was ready to be in his own; he launched his own label with business partner Thierry Gillet. Entitled, “Art as Flirtation and Surrender,” Afshin Feiz’s first collection drew so much heat that rockstar/photographer Bryan Adams jumped at the first opportunity to shoot the look book.
