Martin Grant Fall 2009
Martin Grant Fall 2009

PARIS, Mar 14, 2009 / FW/ — Opting for an intimate presentation this season, Martin Grant has a surprise waiting at his atelier – a new line of jewelry. Proposed in gold and silver, the necklaces and bracelet are made of several strands of micro meshed metal.

Used as accessory in the very sleek, chic and fresh Martin Grant Fall 2009 prêt-a-porter collection, the medieval origins of the jewelry design gave the look a futuristic appeal.

When asked what was the inspiration for his unique jewelry line, Martin Grant said, “The third arrondisement!”

“In the old days, this (3rd arrondisement) was the jewelry area of Paris,” Grant explained. “When I walked around, I would find antique jewelry pieces. As I find more and more antique jewelry, the idea of creating a jewelry line to complement my prêt-a-porter collection took seed.”

And compliment it deed, as Martin Grant’s jewelry pieces added to the ultramodern fashion statement he is making for Fall 2009.
