MADRID, Apr 3, 2009 / FW/ — Sita Murt’s Fall 2009 / Winter 2010 collection envelops and protects us more than ever so that we can pass the harshest of winters.
It is precisely this idea of “protection” which is the common theme running through the collection, combining the cold of the mountain with the warmth of fur and soft materials.
Twill coats and large knit sweaters cover the most fragile and feminine of silhouettes, creating a look where structured almost sculptured volumes conceal and envelop sheer dresses and ethereal garments.
Colours extend in a rich palette: ivory, cosmetic beige, mole grey, pearl, anthracite and navy blue, enriched with touches of green and flame.
The fabrics are rich and sophisticated, giving rise to matching textures and interesting contrasts: stiff wool twills creating generous volumes; mini tweeds inherited from men’s high-quality tailoring; silks and shiny flowing fabrics offset the opaqueness of the wools; sweaters are spongy, warm and enveloping.
The threads are fine: alpaca, cashmere, viscose, mohair, Merino wools.
Nubuck and rough leather bags with pure lines complement the look. Suede and leather belts are covered with metallic studs. Necklaces comprising different metallic chains and grey resin and ivory pieces subtly accompany the silhouette. Bracelets covered with silk threads afford a touch of colour.
