MADRID, Oct 26, 2009 / FW/ — Inspired by the 1970s French Riviera, Andres Sarda proposes luminous colors, stripes and polka dots for Spring 2010. The graphic contrasts of opposites and figure-hugging accessories are sure-fire attention-getting looks.
The line is blurred between night and day, as it is summer and the long days and warm nights are just the perfect atmosphere for parties, which follow one another from dawn to dusk and dusk till dawn, giving us the perfect excuse for dressing up for each occasion throughout the day.
A native of Barcelona, Andres Sarda has always been linked to the world of fashion as his family has been the owner of a textile company since the end of the 19th century. His first task in the firm, which he joined on finishing his textile engineering studies, was to introduce their products onto the American market.
In 1962, he founded his own company whose business was the design and production of swimwear and female lingerie. In 1980, he created the Andrés Sardá collection which aimed to present a top range product as regards fabric quality, manufacture and design.
Andrés Sardá currently presents collections under three brand names: Andrés Sardá, Risk and University which the creator designs in collaboration with his daughter Nuria Sardá.
