NEW YORK, Feb 14, 2010 / FW/ — Earlier today, Italo Zucchelli, Creative Director for Calvin Klein Collection Men unveiled the brand’s Fall 2010 collection to thousands of people around the globe as the label streamed its runway show live at www.calvinkleincollection.com and at www.facebook.com/calvinklein
This was a first for Calvin Klein as the label leverages the power of social networking and bringing fashion to your mobile appliance, thus making fashion also portable.
Though thousands shared the front row seats with Ryan Phillippe, Chace Crawford, Jared Leto, Kellan Lutz, Mehcad Brooks, Hidetoshi Nakata, and Lee Pace, there was actually a very intimate crowd at the company’s headquarters in New York who saw the catwalk show live.
Nothing can replace the excitement of seeing a new collection up close and personal especially in menswear where innovations are subtle and cerebral.
For Fall 2010, Italo Zucchelli proposes tough, tactile and powerful silhouettes that feature exaggerated textures, extreme surfaces, and multiple layers.
Overall, materials were sleek and technical fabrics were tailored and constructed into suits and overcoats which enhanced this season’s masculine collection in a sophisticated palette of earthy and metallic tones.
The show featured over a dozen exclusive models, including River, Eric W., Tim R., Axel, Armand, Phillipp, Florian, Kadeem, Eric S., Carlos, and David A., who is currently featured in the men’s Spring 2010 Calvin Klein Collection advertising campaign.
