MILAN, Jun 19, 2011/ FW/ — Describing the collection as “a confluence of color and proportion on textural, advanced fabrications,” Italo Zucchelli, Men’s Creative Director for Calvin Klein Collection mixed effortless ease with functionality in this very energetic, athletic and multi-dimensional collection.
In an eclectic menswear season that sometimes borders on bizarre, the Calvin Klein menswear collection is a statement in sobriety while still being innovative and modern. With contrasted proportions executed on clean, extremely textured surfaces, Italo Zucchelli proposed new shapes and iconic details.
The rounded shoulder detail defines and contours the line of t shirts and jackets. The classically styled trench, an iconic bomber jacket, and a Harrington, each designed in double bonded, matte finish, cotton twills for high definition and modern styling.
The high volume sport pant, introduced for fall, is now available in lighter materials and also offered with a clean front and single pleat. Plays of proportion continue with the elongated short, which falls just below the knee. For evening, the tuxedo is elegantly updated in monochrome blanc or onyx, with a debossed lapel and pant seam.
